THURSDAYS are now SONGS THAT TAKE YOU BACK

I have been broadcasting LIVE on the blog every day of the week for a while now and I decided it was time to introduce some guidance to my random selection of music. If you would like to suggest a "theme" for the other 4 days of the work week please do. I want something original though....don't give that regular old Awesome 80's type schlock. Come up with something we can discuss back in forth in the LIVE CHAT on Stickam. You don't need a Stickam account to chat...just click on the image of me in the upper left corner, and when prompted choose a temporary screename and that's it! If you want to video chat then create an account and add us as friends and boom we're talking live.

So the first theme is for Thursdays, cause today is Thursday, and it's SONGS THAT TAKE YOU BACK! You know what I mean those songs that immediately suck you right back to a particular time and place. They bring back more than just emotion they bring back images, and smells and put you right back in that moment. You can hear mine, and even get the inside scoop on why these songs matter to me by adding me as a Twitter friend and then listening and following the Tweets! I will endeavore to save all the tweets and post them at the end of the day. Should be fun, but it'll be GREAT if we get YOUR participation. email me requests and the story behind them and I'll share them with everyone ala Casey Kasem.
UPDATE:So here are the Tweets from Twitter. These are only MY memories tied to the songs indicated. I revised them cause sometimes 140 characters just isn't enough....these are in reverse order and do not represent every song played. Thanks to those who joined me.

I first remember being aware of Christopher Walken in The Deer Hunter. What a powerful role, and what a fucking mind trip. We watched the movie for a film class in High School and it just blew me away.
How many awesome moments has this incredibly gifted actor given us? It's virtually limitless. The guy is in friggin everything. Classic Walken from Pulp Fiction...

Daily Beats ...Fresh beats served daily

"welcome to dailybeats - a simple blog were you can find fresh beats every day. at least this is the plan."

Thats what appears in the "About" section of Daily Beats. What appears daily in the content are some of the slammingest mixes from some of the top working jocks and uber-djs in downloadable format.

So I am listening to one of the mixes and it's pretty slamming...

The mixes are continuous but in most all cases you get a list of the tracks in the post and a link to download the full mp3. The mixes average 30-40 minutes give or take with some longer exceptions.

Here the sh-nizzle though....if you use Google Reader go and subscribe to the feed and when you receive each new post you'll be able to preview it immediately right in your reader!!!!!!!

Grammy Moments...

Are you fucking kidding me...BRING ON THE TOUR!!!
These guys fucking rock and may i just say that Stewart Copeland may be the best most creative drummer alive. What a great turn on the classic Roxanne. This will be a record breaking tour. Can't wait...don't care how much the tix cost I will be high and in the first 10 rows...
There's lots more just click on the link below...

The classiest moment of the night....
Danny Ray paying tribute to an icon. I thought Christina Aguilera's rendition of "Man's World" was outfuckinstanding!

Here was the surprise of the night for me. John Mayer is a favorite of mine ( I know I'm not a bi-curious college girl, but I love his blues influence, and his obvious Prince inspired solo was so fucking great) but I never thought he'd take either of these categories (see the post below for more info)

Tonight Justin Timberlake played piano, and guitar on stage as well as paying out a little love to the You Tube set with his up close and bloggy camera work but the real energy was reserved for his performance with contest winner Robyn Troup.
This girl not only can actually sing, but she held her own on stage with JT and TI moving from the classic Bill Withers "Ain't No Sunshine..." into JT's recent hit "My Love" If you get one chance to show what you got you gotta nail it, and fucking nail it she did. Hope producer of the year Rick Rubin, or Uber producer Clive Davis or any of the other folks who crank the hit machine were paying attention and if they weren't I'll produce her cause she has it.

So why do I even care or bother with the Grammy Moments? Cause of all the awards that you can win (short of a Pulitzer or Nobel and I am have no hope for either of those) a Grammy is the one I'd REALLY love to win. Who knows I ain't quite done yet. Maybe next year....hmmmmm?

Hottie DJ w/Talent Nikki Belucci

So here's a new feature from the Yamagoo crew. HOTTIE DJ's of the world. We are DJ's and we know talent....then combine smokin hot looks with that talent and you are a beautiful creature to behold.

So we're gonna begin HERE with NIKKI BELUCCI. One of our friends from MySpace. Here's a snippet from her bio (forgive the broken english she's Hungarian and it's probably freakin hot as hell when she's talking)...

Niki Belucci an attractive and modern girl, is the leading female DJ in Hungary. Eroticism is part of her life, this is the reason why she also plays topless. She became the synonym for inspired eroticism, beauty and energy. She stays for the new generation of female DJs worldwide, they are beautyful, desirable, alluring and charming. Niki launched herself into the club life in autumn 2003.

Together with friends, who showed her how to work with the Vinyls, she spent the time with practice of mixing and listening to the vinyls in record shops. Niki prefers House Music which reveals in the material of her album. It was composed together with Zsolt Suták. The album came out in the beginning of December 2004 under the publishing of MIMA MUSIC. This album helped her to get bookings in all the Clubs, Discos, Radio and TV Shows in Hungary. In December 2005 she was one of the main acts in the TV Reality Show Big Brother in Hungary.

Here's a video of Nikki in action...
