Floppie is what they call him..

Floppie the Banjo Clown...former member of the rock band Pro Bono, had a rough time when the band kicked him out. He was part of a duo with the Cowbell player from Blue Oyster Cult for a couple years but it just never seemed to take off.

Now Floppie needs a What Not To Wear style make-over and he's turning to us Yamagooers...can we resuscitate this clowns career from the toilet with a change of wardrobe? Is image really everything? Why the hell does DJ J post all these internet paper dolls?
All these questions and more....answered after you chill out and FIRE UP!

Math..UGH!

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you. Personally
I would like to know who came up with this and why that person is not
running the country. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this
one in your Head)

1. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the area
code)
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add 1
4. Multiply by 250
5. Add to this the last 4 digits of your phone number
6. Add to this the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
7. Subtract 250
8. Divide number by 2

Do you recognize the answer ??
Now...go FIRE UP and ponder the universe!

Double Wires - Grappling hooks ROCK!

This is a really cool game. You move your stick figure through a course using what the developer calls "grappling hooks" To me it's more reminiscent of a Spiderman kind of feel, but the image of shooting grappling hooks out like Batman seems darker and edgier. Anyway its a good way to waste some time when your baked...I know...I tested it personally.

DJ J's NYE BASH - The Dirty edit

Here's a quick, down and dirty edit of the NYE bash. It was pretty hot, though I have to admit it wasn't as slammin' as last year. We had twice the lights this year but the venue added a theme (Hollywood) and it sucked some of the life out of the party cause it attracted a slightly older crowd. No bare breasts or fights this years so there was some bad and some good compared to last year. We upped the ante with the sound reinforcement too....4 additional 2400 watt amps and 2 extra 18's in the front for a total of 4 (This does not count the two that were half way back in the room they had separate power so in actuality there were 6 subs!) there were 4 15"s on the front end and I have no idea what got put in the middle of the room. We packed out the dancefloor room, (yes there are multiple rooms for this one party -1 The Dining Room which stays open all night, dinner and hors devourers 'til midnight then restocked for breakfast from 1am til 3am. 2-The Lounge quiet for chilling, and its pretty damn dark so we're pretty confident theres some screwing goin on in there! and 3-The dancefloor/main room which the fire code says holds 570)....tickets are sold to couples only (no hitting on anyone, well except for the handful of "swinger" couples that show up each year) and include dinner and breakfast, a room, and the party for $199 per couple, not too shabby. We net a couple grand on the party after expenses! This is the 5th year (I didn't DJ the first 2 years as i was at 8-Tracks) and they've already committed for next year. To be honest I wouldn't mind a new gig...this one is too grown up for me now. Anyway I have almost 7 hours of footage from the gig I don't know when I'll ever watch it all. This is just a small taste. I tried to find a bit of the crowd shots, but I didn't tape them..(obviously I was a little busy). Enjoy!

Friday

This is sick!

We blogged about the highly addictive LINE RIDER here on Yamagoo before. We've literally wasted hours at a stretch making this twisted little sled rider jump loop and die horrible yet entertaining deaths. Now I find this on YouTube.

Are you fucking kidding me? How the hell long does something like that take. There is no way that was drawn it had to be coded...either way I am seriously impressed. There are more of these click here and check out our favorites for the rest. If you have played Line Rider you're probably fucking gobsmacked. If you haven't, do about 3 big bong hits and give it a try...bet you get sucked in...

"The Man" Keeps tabs on Santa!

It must be tough on my kids. Having a Yamagooin gear head DJ geek for a father. One of the bright spots according to them is that we have been tracking Santa on the NORAD website as long as they've been alive! Now I know what some of you are thinking...what do I care I don't have kids....well A.) It's really well done and worth a look just for shits and giggles, and B.) Many of us have procreated, and still like to get mellow, just not with the wee ones around. Besides the "star" cameos can be quite hysterical. This year promises to be no different...check it out

How-To: Build Your Own Custom Full-Sized Wireless Guitar Hero Controller

I have already posted about the fact that I am becoming a Guitar Hero geek but now Toolmonger has posted the How-To for converting that old guitar laying in the garage into a custom controller for the game.

I want this game so bad it's fucking ridiculous! I can't justify just buying it outright until after the holiday but i sure hope my family has been paying attention!

Sometimes I wish they read Yamagoo just so they were clued in on shit like this!

Anyway GO and learn!

Make your own Action Figure

From BoingBoing...

Vicale offers a DIY action-figure toolkit: use a Flash-based configurator to spec out your fig's head, clothes, armaments and accessories and they'll build and ship it to you. I'd like it better if there was more customization -- especially in body type, etc -- but this is getting one step closer to my boyhood dream of being able to create a line of my own action figs.
