DJ from your I Phone

Oh how we love our Apple iPhones . They’re so pretty and sexy. Sometimes we like to cuddle up to our iPhones and stroke their cute little screens.

It’s amazing how they respond to touch, the warmth of our fingers being the only thing that gets them excited.

We sometimes wish there was a hole in our iPhones so we could squeeze our tongue into it to give it the love it deserves.

Ok you get the point. The iPhone is a man’s (or woman’s) best friend. And now some nerds are trying to make it a DJ’s best buddy by developing a fun, but ultimately totally pointless DJ app.

MixMeister Scratch allows you to scratch wika-wika-wild style on the iPhone to impress your friends who don’t have (or can’t afford to own) an iPhone.

So go on. Rub it in their faces. D-D-D-Don’t-you-wish-you-had-an-iPhone.

MixMeister Scratch will be available for the iPhone and iPod Touch soon. More info at: http://www.mixmeister.com/scratch/mmscratch.asp

Record to your iPod - Yes with your own Mic - Griffin iTalk Pro

I own an original Griffin i-Mic external USB soundcard and I love it. It has been an important part of my computer bag through 3 different computers and has saved my ass on many occasions. Needless to say I have nothing but good things to say about Griffin. A while back I came across this really cool gadget called the iTalk Pro, but I am not an iPod owner and I just filed it away with the rest of the useless knowledge I keep in my skull. Then Greggie C bought a 160Gb iPod and was wondering outloud about the Alesis iMultiMix 8 USB with iPod Recording and wondering if it was a good purchase. Since we featured the Alesis iMultiMix 8 USB in the podcast sidebar recommendations not too long ago I told him I thought it was a great piece and asked him a few more questions. Turns out that the Alesis iMultiMix 8 USB was a bit of overkill for what he had in mind. Then that little voice in the back of my brain that reminds me that I have a file on the current topic stuffed deep in the recesses of my mind shouted out WHAT ABOUT THE GRIFFIN iTALK?
From the Griffin Technologies Web-site...

iTalk Pro is perfect for capturing how the world around you really sounds.

Whether you're taking lecture notes, conducting an interview, or just want to bring the sounds of the great outdoors indoors, your only limitations are your iPod's capacity, and your own imagination.

iTalk's twin built-in mics record directly to your iPod, and adjustable gain settings give you control over the volume. You can even use external microphones with iTalk Pro. Just plug your mic into the 3.5mm jack on the bottom of iTalk Pro.

All of this for $49.99! So if you have an iPod and you may want to do a little Live! recording using it's built in Stereo mics or your own external mic check out the iTalk Pro...it's probably JUST what you're looking for!

Gotta love Sihouette Ads

From Gizmodo our favorite gadget site on the web....

Who could forget the iBuzz, that fun little sex toy that hooks up to an iPod and vibrates in tandem with the music? Hope you already bought yours because it looks like Apple is about to shut them down. Apparently, Apple is taking issue with some of iBuzz's adverts, like the one seen here. I guess Apple isn't too keen about having "its" silhouette campaign hijacked by a bunch of smut peddlers. Or, in legalese...
"Our client owns the copyright in all the images used in its 'Silhouette' advertising campaign and actively polices its rights in order to protect itself and its consumers.... Certain images used on your website (www.ibuzz.co.uk) may have been copied or substantially copied from those in which our client own the copyright, without our client's consent... Your use of such images amounts to copyright infringement."

Oh, boo hoo, Apple.
